Carlsbad Caverns National Park
250 million year old fossil-encrusted rocks help to unlock the mysteries of the Guadalupe Mountains. This diverse desert region in southeast New Mexico and Texas was once a huge inland sea. Eventually the sea dried up and over the course of time, Capitan Reef rose from the seabed to become the Guadalupe Mountains.
